School Counselor

The School Counselor at St. Benedict Cathedral School is Mrs. Allison Shepherd. She may be contacted via email at ashepherd@evdio.org or by calling the school office at 812-425-4596. The counseling lab serves as a resource for academic support, college and career readiness, and social-emotional development. Mrs. Shepherd conducts monthly, whole-group lessons for each homeroom, covering topics such as self-care, confidence, kindness, friendship, and perseverance. The lab is a confidential environment where students are encouraged to express concerns, be heard, and receive spiritual support. Furthermore, the lab facilitates hands-on career exploration through on-campus activities and field trips. Collaborations with organizations such as Trades for Tomorrow, the University of Evansville, Azzip Pizza, Young & Established, Deaconess Medical Staff, the Purdue Extension Educational Office, the Vanderburgh County Circuit Court, and the Evansville Police Department have provided students with experiences designed to broaden their goals and aspirations.
