Welcome

Immersed in the Benedictine tradition since 1912, our parish rejoices in welcoming Christ in others. We believe in the mystery of God’s love. We celebrate the good gifts that we’ve been given to share. And we live the mystery of Jesus Christ in our care for others, especially the poor and the searching. We especially welcome those who are seeking a family of faith.

Along with Sunday Mass, our oldest work is our Catholic Parish Grade School. Many other ministries help our community answer God’s call to further establish the Kingdom of Justice here on earth. We seek to enable all our parishioners to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ’s resurrection to the ends of the earth.

You will find in this website lots of helpful information. It paints a vivid picture of our cathedral parish community. Still, if you have other questions, please contact the parish office and we will gladly assist you.

Together, let us all pray that God will animate every human heart with the gift of peace that comes from Him alone. And may that peace flow forth from us and become the lasting peace of Christ throughout the world. Peace to you! And to all!

Father Godfrey Mullen, OSB

Our Sacred Purpose

at St. Benedict Cathedral is to become HOLY DISCIPLES, generous with God’s gifts for building the kingdom, on the path to heaven.  In the midst of a welcoming community in the Benedictine tradition, we embrace the teachings of our faith by celebrating Word and Sacrament as we grow in our personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
