Touching Hearts

All of our students put their faith into action by becoming involved in service to each other and the greater community.

Our students participate in the annual Thanksgiving food drive for the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry. Fundraisers for both Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis and St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis help students recognize and care for the medical needs of many children less fortunate than them. Our second grade students host a school wide Christmas Giving Project by collecting money for a family who is need during the Christmas season. The second grade students then go as a class, to shop for the family and purchase daily necessity items.

As a Christmas present, a third grader at SBCS asked if she could put together backpacks with essential hygiene items for local families in need! This student displays dedication to serving others and showing what the Christmas season is all about!
