Sisters of St. Benedict Retreat
A local craft brewery and the Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand are offering a retreat, “Brewing with the Spirit: A Monastic Craft Beer Experience”, on February 16 & 17 at St. Benedict’s Brew Works at Monastery Immaculate Conception at 860 E. 10th St. in Ferdinand. Brewery owners Vince Luecke and Andy Hedinger will share beer history and reflections, and participants will sample beers and make craft beer. Sign-in begins at 6:30 pm EST Friday, retreat ends at 7:00 pm Saturday. Cost is $235, includes meals, abundant beer sampling, and lodging at Kordes Hall. Commuter cost is $175. It’s Time to Play BUNCO! We will be playing Bunco on Wednesday, February 21. Social hour is 6:00 – 7:00 pm; Bunco begins at 7:00 pm. Cost for the evening is $5. Annual Lenten Day of Recollection
The St. Vincent de Paul Society cordially invites you to attend their annual Lenten Day of Recollection on Saturday, March 3 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, Seton Residence. The spiritual director will be Jane Knuth, Catholic author of spiritual books including “Thrift Store Saints”. There will be a fee of $10 , payable the day of the retreat. The fee includes breakfast and dinner. Please call in your reservation to the St. Vincent de Paul coordinator’s office at 812-423-7842 by February 26.
