Cocoon Tree

We will be collecting items during Lent again this year for the House of Bread of Peace. The House of Bread and Peace is a shelter for women and children. The director has often said that our yearly collection helps them get through the year. Trees will be placed at the side entrances of church. As in the past, just take a cocoon, purchase the item written on it, and bring the item back to church. This year, because of the virus, do not return the cocoon. If you are not able to come to church but would like to participate in the Cocoon Tree Project, simply purchase an item and bring it to church or the parish center. They are in need of household items, non-perishable foods, toiletries – things needed in the day-to-day living. If you prefer to send a donation instead, just label it for the House of Bread and Peace. Thank you and God
bless you!

Our Sacred Purpose

at St. Benedict Cathedral is to become HOLY DISCIPLES, generous with God’s gifts for building the kingdom, on the path to heaven.  In the midst of a welcoming community in the Benedictine tradition, we embrace the teachings of our faith by celebrating Word and Sacrament as we grow in our personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
