From Fr. Godfrey
– On behalf of the entire parish community, WELCOME HOME to all who have come to St. Ben’s to celebrate Christmas. May our joyful anticipation give way to the amazing grace of Christ’s presence in our lives. If you aren’t often here but live in our area, you’re most welcome to celebrate Mass here more frequently. Who can live well without a regular encounter with the Word of God and receiving the Body and Blood of Christ? And why would we want to live without Him? May the Lord’s presence in our lives draw us together more completely, more regularly.
– THANK YOU to all who have worked hard in preparation for our celebration of the Lord’s Birth. Thanks especially to Jeremy & Jennifer Korba, the choir, our students who have worked to prepare for the pageant, Tami Orr, Patrick Payne, and their legion of decorators, all the liturgical ministers, and all who will have contributed to the beauty of our Masses. Stewardship acknowledges all of God’s good gifts to us. Stewardship also motivates us to be generous with those same gifts. Having received, will we give? Gratitude Ü Generosity Ü Mission.
– THANK YOU to all of you who have offered greetings to me and the Staff for Christmas. Your support means the world to us. And your generosity sustains our work for the Church. Thank you!
– As you can see, this bulletin will cover both weekends — December 23-24 and 30-31. The Parish Office will be closed between Christmas and New Year’s in order to allow our staff time with their families. God bless you!
