The process for preparation of the Sacrament of Confirmation provides a focused and creative time frame that gives high school youth an opportunity to be strengthened for discipleship, mission and witness to our Catholic faith. Students who are a second semester freshman or higher are always welcome to join our Confirmation process that begins each March. The Sacrament of Confirmation normally takes place in the month of November with the Bishop present. Information concerning our Confirmation process can be found in the parish bulletin each February/March. For further information contact Marty Horning in the Religious Education Office at 425-4596.

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is held Monday through Friday (except First Fridays of every month) from noon until 5:00 PM. The room on the east side of the Sanctuary, which serves as a Nursery for infants and toddlers during liturgical celebrations, also serves as the Adoration Chapel during the week. A schedule book is located in the Adoration Chapel for sign-ups to assure that at least one of the faithful is always present during exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. On the First Fridays of every month, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is on the main altar of the Cathedral to encourage prayer for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Exposition will be cancelled when schools are closed due to inclement weather. There is no exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year’s Eve and Day, and during Holy Week. Benediction may or may not follow a period of Adoration. Benediction is the sacred ritual of reposing the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist to the tabernacle after Adoration. A bishop, priest, or deacon may perform the benediction, in the appropriate vestments. |

The Rosary prayed 15 minutes before weekend masses. The rosary is recited in common at this time, and there is usually a leader to guide the prayer. Almost always, the leader will use the cantor's lectern, near the baptismal font.
