Christian Family Movement

Christian Family Movement is a group of families that supports one another by promoting Christian values in the family, community and workplace. They meet once a month in a small support-group setting. The group offers diverse social and community-building activities throughout the year. All are welcome, especially families raising children, and more information is available. Contact: Missy & Paul Parkison - 402-1230; office@cfm.org. For more information: Visit www.CFM.org.

Catholics Returning Home (CRH)

We invite non-practicing Catholics, who are seeking answers to questions about returning to the Church to meet in informal groups that offer an opportunity to share their faith, and to hear an update of the Catholic faith. CRH needs a few people who have returned to the practice of the Catholic faith and who are willing to talk (give witness) to others who are considering a return to the Catholic Church. Contact: Deacon Dave Cook - 425-3369, ext. 164, dcook@evdio.org or Sr. Pat McGuire, OSB – 425-3369, ext. 160, pmcguire@evdio.org.

Religious Education

Religious Education classes are available for children pre-school (3 yrs.) through 8th grade. Our classes are for any child, especially children who attend public schools. Classes begin in September and end in April. First Reconciliation and First Eucharist preparation are part of the second grade. St. Benedict School and parish second graders are prepared together through a series of parent meetings and a retreat. Class times are on Sunday morning from 9:00-10:10 AM. This provides families adequate time to attend the 10:30 AM Mass. All classes are held in the St. Meinrad Hall and are taught by trained and dedicated catechists (teachers). We are always training new catechists as teachers and as substitute teachers. High school students are needed, and always welcome, as assistant teachers in the classes with our younger students.
